Pre-race routine:

First Tri, woke up at a peanut butter sandwich and drank some chocolate milk. Drove to Lafayette and set up. Met a couple of friends there who decided to make this their first tri. No nerves just ready to go.

Sent and estimated time of 4 minutes, planned to go out easy. Passed a couple of swimmers and really never got in a good rhythm.
What would you do differently?:

Put in a faster time, probably could have swam at least 3:10 if not having to slow down and stop.

Good run, have been suffering with knee problems since Feb. Haven't done much running. Actually felt good during and after.

Go Faster, not grab that bottle of water in transition that I carried the whole course

First TRI, didn't want to lifegaurds to come in after me, didn't want to wreck the bike or get carried off the run course. Accomplished all three. Looking forward to Snake Bite Tri on 8/23
