Comments: Great swim. Made sure I did not go out too hard. Stayed long and strong through entire swim. Transition 1
Comments: Ran into a litte trouble with people stopped on the mat. Was able to get on bike quickly and clipped in quickly. Bike
Comments: Perfect cadence. Got caught up with two other people. I would pass them and then one would pass me then the other. We repeated this process for a lap and a half. None of us could pull away from the others. The small hills and turns made it hard to get away. Transition 2
Comments: Not a great transition. Pulled feet out of shoes too early. Got off my bike well but then swerved while trying to run with it. Did not put on running shoes while taking off helmet. Almost forgot to take my helmet off. What would you do differently?: Was thinking about increase cadence at end of ride instead of thinking about transition. Need to concentrate on transition as I am coming in on bike. Run
Comments: Worked on thinking of the race as a 2 mile run and then a 3 mile run. My mind drifted a bit in middle of race. Started looking back the last half mile. What would you do differently?: Concentrate on whole run. Post race
Warm down: Light jog out to meet my wife for her finish. Jogged back in to finish with her. Event comments: Although this event is not stocked with lots of volunteers, a great swag, or after event food. It is still real fun. The course is great and the people are nice.
