Comments: People really do bump into you. What would you do differently?: Need to get a better stroke to increase efficiency. But was very happy with my navigation. Transition 1
Comments: First T-1 ever. Was going to be happy to just find my bike. Had a great spot though, right at the exit/entrance point. What would you do differently?: I saw some people sitting down, so I kind of took my time. Maybe next time I'll try and do it a little faster. Bike
Comments: I never passed anyone and got passed by at least 100 people. What would you do differently?: Need to ride faster next time. Since I did not do the course beforehand I was kind of taking it easy. Transition 2
Comments: T2 is funny. What would you do differently?: Through the bike that was in my spot onto the ground, and maybe take his seat post. Run
Comments: My run was strong. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I was happy with the run. Post race
Warm down: Almost puked. Went back into the water to cool off. That was a very good idea. What limited your ability to perform faster: My fear of going out too hard and not finishing with a decent time. I also should not have taken so many supplements before the race. They made me feel like crap at certain points. Event comments: This was a very good first race for me to boost my confidence. I wanted to come in under 1:50. Up at 4:00 a.m. Ate two baked potato and a thing of oatmeal. Little bit of Gatorade and a Cliff Block. Out to the race at 5:15. Little more Gatorade and another Cliff Block.
Just kind of walked around and stretched. Nothing crazy. Not a big warm up guy.
