Swim
Comments: Best swim yet. It payed off to add an extra swim to my sechdule in the past 6 weeks. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: I only practiced mounting with shoes clipped on a couple days before the race. Actually on saturday i ripped off my pinky toe nail trying to get it down. My left shoe unclipped when mounting and my foot hit the road with my pinky taking the hit. Luckily the adrenaline spike allowed me to race without feeling it as much. I recommend using vaseling on the outer edge of the shoe to make slipping in easier. Bike
Comments: Felt good most of the way. I think my cadence was too high at some points and it hurt my run later. I guessi have to keep experimenting until i find a cadence that allows me to do better in the run. What would you do differently?: mash Transition 2
Run
Comments: I really didnt feel my legs at all during the run. i felt like quitting the whole way through. What would you do differently?: i have to figure out my bike pace to feel more comfortable with my run. Post race
Warm down: jumped in the lake to cool down and stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: inexperience. it was my second tri eve. i am happy with the results considering i have 6mo of training and before that i was doing nothing. next year. Event comments: good race organization. volunteers were very helpful and enthusiastic. Last updated: 2005-09-08 12:00 AM
