Comments: This was my first swim in 6 weeks. City strike closed the pools. Transition 1
Comments: Right shoe came off my pedal so I had to stop and reengage. Time was still pretty good all things considered. Bike
Comments: Poor ride, as my legs cramped early into the ride. Considered giving up at one point. Slowed my pace, gritted my teeth and rode on. The up hills actually were the most pleasant part of the ride. Legs loosened up with 5km to go so I was able to pick up the pace. Transition 2
Comments: A good transition. Run
Comments: Legs really cramped here. Ran the first km. Had to stop and walk, then ran walked until the turn around. Ran from TA (2.5km to 4 km), a quick walk, then all the way to the line. Basically shuffle hopped the entire way. Not my best run. Post race
Warm down: Stood in the cool river water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramped legs. Need to figure this out before Orillia, and the start of IM Australia training. More stretching, massage required. Need to make this a part of my training. Taking this in stride. Sometimes things don't work out, and what you need to do is evaluate and learn.
