Comments: Very good ride for me. NOthing to compare it to, but 19 on a warm, hilly and windy course was good for me. What would you do differently?: Maybe hold back a little for the run. Transition 2

Comments: Absolutely tanked on the run. Heart rate was 175 and I could not get it down without significantly slowing or walking. Overheated. What would you do differently?: Maybe better training would help, particularly focused on the run. Also, may have over-exerted on the bike... Post race
Warm down: drank some fluid, eventually sat down... What limited your ability to perform faster: I think it was probably conditioning. Swimming technique is improving; cycling was good and can still improve. I either need to be in better condition or learn to pace myself a bit better. Event comments: This was a good race for my first triathlon. I'm very glad the run course was as easy as it was as I had quite a bit of difficulty with it. Last updated: 2009-08-11 12:00 AM
