Swim
Comments: Very average swim for me...not good not bad. What would you do differently?: My training for this race was really bad....this is our last planned race for the year and we totally mailed this one in. Transition 1
Comments: Again, my theme for this race...average. Had trouble with my shirt getting rolled up around my chest but other than that it went well. What would you do differently?: Get a new shirt Bike
Comments: Looking at the layout before the race I was a little concerned about the intersection where you are to yield to oncoming traffic and bikes....the police did an awesome job and I didn't hear one complaint of racers having to even slow down. What would you do differently?: Train harder....that's it, no excuses! Transition 2
Comments: Pretty typical....Could have been faster but not too terribly bad What would you do differently?: Practice transitions Run
Comments: I was gassed and this was a pretty tough run. Beautiful course that was well marked and had plenty of water/gatorade available. What would you do differently?: Again...train, train, train! Post race
Warm down: Rode bike about 4 miles What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training....I was a slacker for the past month. This performance was a great motivator for the winter months looming ahead. I need to be putting in a few miles on the pavement...maybe a 13.1 or 2 would help! Event comments: Other than the swim being a little long, this was the most organized race I've been a part of. The volunteers were absolutely awesome! If I had to guess, the theme word for all the volunteers was "logic". In a world void of common sense it was refreshing to see so much common sense involved with putting this race together. This was our first time in this race and we will certainly be back! Last updated: 2009-08-31 12:00 AM
