Swim
Comments: Best swim ever; big thanks to Coach Mike Galvan!... i credit the revisions he made to my stroke in just the three weeks prior to the race to being able to take about two minutes off of my best Harriman swim time with minimal training time invested; swam straight through, with only a break at the turn and another on the way back What would you do differently?: Train more!; site better; drafting could be better... i still let people around me throw my rythm off Transition 1
Comments: Ok transition; the new wetsuit comes off so much more easily Bike
Transition 2
Run
Comments: Good run, good pace (altho, don't really believe i maintained the pace indicated above); lost a gel on run bc race belt was blocking tri top pockets; legs felt very tight and heavy at beginning of run; was able to open up more after approx .5 mile; great encouragement on the course for and from other racers! What would you do differently?: Better positioning of race belt so it doesn't cover tri top pockets Post race
Warm down: Jogged around a bit to food and drink; had water, coconut water, bananas, oranges, etc; didn't really get any real food in me until late that night! minimal stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of good training Event comments: First tri of the season, finally! Felt great, but sad to have missed so much of season Last updated: 2009-09-11 12:00 AM
