  • Comments: Great race and organization. I really didn't stick around for any post race activities cause the rain started coming down and I was hungry. Will definitely do again next year.

  • Comments: Post activites could have been a little better. This was my first triathlon so i had fun and learned a lot as well. Quite a few people told me that this bike course is about as hard as it gets for a sprint triathlon. Fisrt place time was 1:11:42!

  • Comments: NY Tri races are not fancy, but they are always well run, and have very good traffic control. They have 2 races here a year, and I really have to try to do at least one race because the challenging bike course and the pretty scenery make it a really good race.

  • Comments: NYTC finally has gone to the champion chip. How about a couple of extra mats to time transitions?!?!?! Still, they run a nice , effecient low key race. Even w/ SBR here yesterday and the ever popular West Point today they still managed 400+ (including the DU). Just a great way to practice the SW/Bike/Run. All in all a fun morning up at Harriman. My love/hate the relationship w/ this place continues.

  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: This was only my second tri and they have both been at Harriman, run by the same group. It is organized and well run but the militant tone of the directions and rules was something many people, including myself found a bit annoying. However if you can ignore that tone, which I did, it is a great race. It is a challenging bike ride, which is my weakest event, so I enjoy that part of it. The race is great and I am looking forward to doing the set again next year.

  • Comments: Harriman State Park is a beautiful place for a Tri plus the challenging bike course made for a very good race, and it is only about 40 minutes from my home. They have 2 races a year here, and I think I will do both next year.
