Swim
Comments: REALLY need to work on the swim What would you do differently?: Drink less lake water!!! Transition 1
Comments: It was my first tri so I made sure I had everything ready to go before I took off. Wasn't really rushing, but wasn't not moving either. What would you do differently?: Not fuss with my camelbak...It was my only form of hydration that I had lying around the house since I came from a mtn biking backround and JUST bought a road bike. Water bottle on the bike would have cut time down. Bike
Comments: I would have been in much better position if I didn't have to stop...All the time I lost waiting I made back up in the last 8 miles but by then it was to late to gain any ground whatsoever. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: My feet and hands were still numb from getting out of the water...made tying my shoes REALLY difficult since I couldn't tell how tight my shoes were, nor could I handle the laces well. What would you do differently?: Quick-tie laces Run
Comments: Having my feet be numb from mile 0.5 of the bike to 2.5 of the run killed me. My time would have been better by at least 2 minutes if I could actually feel my feet. They were so cold it hurt to run, hence the slower pace. My legs felt great at that point and were not like jello coming off the bike. What would you do differently?: Hope my feet aren't numb Post race
Warm down: walk around, quick jog, stratch What limited your ability to perform faster: Feet were numb for the entire bike and 90% of the run Had to stop to "revisit" something I ate, which killed my bike split. Event comments: Great race, however I have nothing to base it off of Last updated: 2009-09-19 12:00 AM
