Swim
Comments: pretty good, i think a 26 is in store for next year though Transition 1
Comments: went fine, had to put my garmin on and get situated and then it was a long run out of T1 with the bike, hopped on and got the shoes on pretty easy on the go Bike
Comments: felt strong for all of the bike, didnt blow up like last year and went faster, did a great job of peeing on myself so no stops, and there was a mandatory dismount, but hey everbody had to do it Transition 2
Comments: got mixed up on where i was going, but got in and got out Run
Comments: started out good then got ugly, handled 3 miles or so at 7:30 pace, then backed it off til mile 7ish and then i started cramping up and doing alot of walking and shuffling. Good thing the course was short because i was barely moving at the end What would you do differently?: guess i need to keep more sodium and electrolytes in me, had horrible sweat rings on my shirt and skin...and i didnt do anything about it Post race
Warm down: got my medal from Ms. Wellington, then crapped out on the ground by the finish layed there for a bit then got some grub, ate 4 sandwichs a bag of chips and some bananas! then got my splits and my bike and wetsuit and trekked it back to the campsite What limited your ability to perform faster: while i trained more this year...alot more...it wasnt enough for how fast i really wanted to go. Event comments: absolutely loved it. From the camping aspect to enjoying all the spectators and my family on the run course. Bike was challenging and fun and the swim was perfect.
