Overall Rank = 48/286

Age Group Rank = 5/22
Pre-race routine:

Had English Muffin with PB and Coffee.. drank Perpeteum right up until rce time. Picked up Cam and arrived (late) about an hour before race time.
Event warmup:

Biked a couple miles in my 'costume' to make sure that worked out... and ran about 3/4 mile in the costume as well. Stretched.
Run
  • 20m 45s
  • 3 miles
  • 06m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

My Halloween Mask quickly got hot but... I kept it on. Otherwise, my legs just didn't feel good (possibly not recoverd from last weekend's Triathlon beating) Normally a strong point for me so this was tough to take.
What would you do differently?:

Just need to be in better overall shape next year.
Transition 1
  • 01m 2s
Comments:

Took off the mask for the bike portion as the sweet was streaming into my eyes...took a bit of time to catch my breath from the run finish.
What would you do differently?:

Next year I'll have 'easier' bike shoes.. biggest time waste was walking to the bike transition to catch my breath.
Bike
  • 33m 44s
  • 11 miles
  • 19.57 mile/hr
Comments:

Better than the race in April by a little... not bad considering how beat my legs felt
What would you do differently?:

Realize that I need a couple weeks between Tri's for max success.
Transition 2
  • 01m 17s
Comments:

Again... had to take a bit of time to recover before running. Should be under a minute for these.
What would you do differently?:

See above.
Run
  • 13m 39s
  • 2 miles
  • 06m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Not much left in the tank but because it is my last race of the year I gutted out a half decent time....put my mask back on with a mile to go.
What would you do differently?:

See Above.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, drank water, put my bike on the car, stretched...and waited for Cam to get his award for 3rd in his age bracket!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

A bit depleted from previous weekend's race I guess.

Event comments:

Firm Racing maintains that 'personal feel' to their races. This one had an award for Best Costume which I thought I had a good one but... nope. The kid who won only wore his about 1/2 mile before tossing it. Mine was too scary I think! Hope they fix their Audio System for next year :)
