  • Comments: My first race in 20 years so my evaluation could be subjective. I had a great time, very nice people that ran it. Met some very nice fellow athletes as well. I was really impressed with a lot of them. Ill be back next year!

  • Comments: Firm Racing maintains that 'personal feel' to their races. This one had an award for Best Costume which I thought I had a good one but... nope. The kid who won only wore his about 1/2 mile before tossing it. Mine was too scary I think! Hope they fix their Audio System for next year :)

  • Comments: OK - The coolest thing about today was the fact that I got to race against Dick Hoyt and his son. Just to be in the same place with these two inspirational people really made my day! However, I might like to try something else next year.

  • Comments: You could tell how the poor economy is affecting even spending on Duathlons, as the post course spread was sparse compared to races past. I didn't stick around for too long afterwards, and was on the road by 10:30.

  • Comments: I like having the mile markers so you can gauge your distance but now that i thing about it - the first run went by really quickly so maybe NOT haveing them was a plus :)

  • Comments: This is a fun event. I was happy to finish 3 minutes faster than I did last year, so that was satisfying. I'd like to do a little better on the run, of course, but my expectations were conservative given my lack of run training this year. I finished 12th/81 for women overall. Team Hoyt was at the race, which was a highlight for me.

  • Comments: Not sure what they could have done better, it was a great race. Maybe some better post race food, they had mini bagels, rice crispy treats, bananas, and bars to eat.
