Terrible! First ever beach start and I was completely unable to deal with the waves both heading out and back in. Pool time for 750 yds approx 12 minutes.....not even close today.
What would you do differently?:

Practice open water swimming especially getting off the beach and surf zone.

Could not get comfortable on the bike. Felt off position, could not engage hamstrings effectively. Need to take a look at my position.

None really.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough preparation in open water swimming, especially dealing with waves, cost 2-3 minutes at least. On the bike I did not get enough power on the pedals (position? did not feel right) and it cost me 2-3mph. Run was about as good as I had expected but need to get better.

Very fun race. Great venue. Wonderful atmosphere. Lots of fun!!
