Pre-race routine:

I got up in order to eat over 3 hours before the start. I ate about 250-300 grams of carbs. I tried to keep away from too much fiber, but I feel like I may have had too much. I could use a different cereal that isn't too fiber filled.

When we arrived, within an hour of the race, I sipped on some Gatorade Endurance, and I had a Gu before the start of the swim. My stomach felt pretty full, but maybe it was too full. I definitely still felt like I was digesting, and I was a little nervous and excited, so this didn't help.
Event warmup:

Did some rolling of my IT Band, and some stretches. Ran with some knee ups and butt kicks. Didn't warm up on the bike at all. Maybe I should have. Dove into the water to make sure it wouldn't be a shock.

It's a lot different to do an open water swim in a race than it is in practice. I was pretty nervous, and I happened to be by the 1st place guy at the start. I saw him do dolphin dives, so I went with him. By the time I realized, I was in first place. And, then I got pretty exhausted and a bit panicky. I had to float on my back for a little, and I had to wave the fast guy to go around because he was drafting off of me. I held on although I was pretty panicky about it. Plus, there were about 500 people behind me, so I didn't want to stop completely.
What would you do differently?:

I think it was good to go out fast in order to get away from the crowd, but I need to get better at cruising. I just lost it a bit. I can't complain since I was the 2nd person out of the water (12th overall by time). But, I don't want to lose it like that.

Others were much faster at transition. I was also exhausted. I rehearsed this a bunch, but I got a little fumbled. I didn't chose to do a flying mount since I messed up a bit on the last race.
What would you do differently?:

Get better about taking suit off while getting bike ready.

Definitely not my strength. Lots of people were passing me. I just don't have the power on the bike yet. My heart rate was pretty intense, and I only felt comfortable for part of the course.
What would you do differently?:

Just need lots more training on the bike. Maybe I need to control myself on the swim better in order to have the endurance, but I wanted to go all out since it was a Sprint. I feel like everyone that did pass me has just been doing this a lot longer, so I'll keep telling myself that.

Totally cramped up in my stomach about 1 mile in. It was pretty disappointing. I just felt full in my stomach. I tasted breakfast a little on the bike, so I think I needed to be better digested before the race. I feel like I got plenty of water and electrolytes. I'm also reading that some people avoid Gu and Gatorade because of this, but I haven't really had this problem before. Should probably try it. Plus, since my heart rate was elevated the whole time, I didn't feel like I could digest at all. Tried to fight it and squeeze my side, but that didn't work. After walking a little, I was able to get back to it and finish strong.

PS - Everyone was really nice. The 1st place guy was coming in, and he cheered me on. And, everyone asked if I was okay. Someone even tried to hand me a Gu. I really like these people. Although, I heard there was a fist fight between 2 people during the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Make sure to eat early enough to have everything digested. Try another nutrition choice besides Gu or Gatorade? Don't overdo it on the sugary beverage right before the race?

Came home and did stretches and IT Band work.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Bike, bike, bike. Also, fix the nutrition problem for the run.

I like this organization. They are low key but still organize a good race. All in all, very happy experience for my first Triathlon ever!
