Got some parking and hooked up with the other donkeys and took photos.

Comments:

It was WINDY! And, I was wearing a giant carrot costume. So, imagine running with your neck bent back, and that's pretty much what it was like. It hurt. I tried to keep up with Stacey (LUNATICK) but she dropped me after the first mile when the wind got really bad. Somewhere in there, I lost my carrot top tie. Oh well. I just tried to power through the best I could.
What would you do differently?:

I'd say to not wear the costume, but seriously, that wasn't going to happen. I suppose warming up would have been good. Or starting near the front instead of weaving my way through the crowd. But, come on, this was a fun run. It's supposed to be fun. :)

Warm down:

I was greeted by the hubby and kiddo and Scott and Stacey and I drank some water and chatted while we waited for the rest of the donkey crew.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Strong winds, injury, giant carrot costume. Whatever.

Event comments:

Fun Halloween tradition. If you've not done it, you should. Good shirt, as always.
