Comments: Went out easy (8:15 pace after 3-4 miles), then increased speed (7:41 average over last 9-10 miles). What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Event comments: My first 1/2 Marathon. Did my first 4 Sprint Triathlons over the summer and did two 5K races. Figured I was in good enough shape (from Tri training) to do a 1/2 Marathon. I figured correctly. Maybe will do the full 26.2 next year. My opinion is that the training for sprint triathlons is pretty good prep for a 1/2 Marathon. Last updated: 2009-11-07 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:45. Left house at 5:30. Had 1/2 cup of outmeal, 1 banana at 6 ish. Parked at Union Station, 1/3 mile walk to start.
Stretched, jogged 1/2 mile or so.
