Comments: Started out way too fast, was thinking about going for a BQ, but threw that idea out after about 9 miles, but by then the damage was done. Did not get enough electrolytes because of the heat and early pace even though I drank Gatorade Endurance at each stop, and took three Accel gels. What would you do differently?: Pace slower earlier, bring Endurolytes or Amino Vital to supplement the Gatorade crap they give at aid stations. Post race
Warm down: Stumble through the finishing chue, get my medal, grab an orange, find my wife and kids and sit down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cramping/electrolyte depletion and going out too fast. Fluid intake was good though. Event comments: Good race, bad decision making on my part.
