Pre-race routine:

Had to get up at 4:30am to drive up to the race. Getting up that early and driving 1 1/2 hours was not ideal. Ate some cereal on the way up along with a cliff bar. Drank water the whole way.
Event warmup:

Stayed in the convention center to keep warm since it was soooooo cold!!
Run

Comments:

The run started very well. It was a mass start for the half and full marathon so we had 4400 people at the start line. It took a while to get started but the race was awesome. Thru 10 miles I was on pace to finish right at 1:50 but then at 10.5 miles I finally had enough of the hills and hit a wall. I struggled thru the last 2.5 miles but the course was still awesome.
What would you do differently?:

Need to drink more fluids. Next time I will slow more at the drink tables and make sure I get in plenty of fluids. Between the lack of fluids and the cold weather, my 2 gel's I had with me felt like I was eating syrup they were so thick.

The course had plenty of water, I just didn't take enough in.
Post race
Warm down:

Went into the convention center to get my core temp back up. Hung around for a little while then drove home in a nice warm car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to start speed/interval training into my workout's and add more base milage.

Event comments:

I will definitely run this race again, as long as its not raining. I can't imagine how bad it would be to be cold AND wet.
