Run
Comments: There were so many people at the race that by the time we got to the starting line some were finishing the race! It was soooo crowded, which I knew it would be, it made it difficult to run. Oh and there were hills, I haven't trained on hills yet so that was new to me. My knee hurt at the beginning but once it was warmed up the pain went away...heel hurts too. What would you do differently?: Nothing much, I knew the crowds would be something to deal with and that my time would be affected by the other runners and walkers. I don't have my own timer but I am still in the beginning stages here. Post race
Warm down: Got seperated from Kristi so I walked around looking for her and went to the car. I was a little sore right after the race so I had to streatch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not being prepared for running hills and it was so much warmer in San Diego than No. Nevada. Event comments: I do wish they had a seperate place for walkers, like to the right or something. I had a women walking make a sharp right directly in front of me with her stroller and dog on a leash. Then others stop to greet eachother suddenly so I had to stop completely twice! With that said it was a well organized event and the entry fee goes to a great cause, which is what it really was all about for Thanksgiving! Last updated: 2009-12-01 12:00 AM
