Comments: The temps were in the 60's at the start and the 80's at the end. So I really suffered in the heat. Had trouble keeping liquids down. What would you do differently?: Take the initial miles slower. Post race
Warm down: Recoverite (I swear by it). When I got back to the cottage I waded into Long Lake to ice my legs. What limited your ability to perform faster: I really couldn't run in the heat. Got up really early, probably around 4:45. Had my normal yogurt/cereal mix and coffee.
Drove to the event. Was able to park in my favorite lot (Cherry) and finished my coffee. Strolled to the porta potty 2 times before the lines got too long.
