  • Comments: This was my first marathon, and I felt the races was directed very well. Never had an issue with aid stations, or porta-potties. Plent for everyone. TONS of support from the residents and the volunteers. There were ~5,000 people racing (10k, Half, and Full) and there were 1,000 volunteers. Great Job everyone! I will see you next year!

  • Comments: This was just an awesome race in an awesome town. Everything was great and didn't have one complaint. The course is beautiful with lake views for 95% of the run and was "gently rolling" flat which kept all the leg muscles in use. Volunteers were great and the crowd support was surprisingly good. We were shocked at how beautiful this area of michigan was!

  • Comments: The biggest bummer is what I wanted to take away from this marathon was improvement...in time, in race execution, in mental toughness, in my confidence as a runner. I really didn't get any of those "benefits". What I did get was 26.2 miles of running to put in the bank for IMFL. As always, racing with friends and team mates makes an event for me. As miserable as my race was, I got lots of love on the course from BT friends and team mates. I had a blast hanging with everyone at the hotel post race, eating out at the Jolly Pumpkin, and exploring TC. It was nice that Dave and Brian came with me too!!! :) Traverse City is very pretty, and had the weather been nicer on Sunday, it would have been perfect.

  • Comments: This was my first ever marathon so I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it was very well run. Not much to do at the finish and the only swag was a pair of socks. Seems like they could come up with some better stuff. It was cold and wet at the end and I was totally spent so that probably taints my view of things.

  • Comments: I really like this event. I just didn't perform as good as I could have. Can I have a do-over?

  • Comments: The food after the race was lame. It was like an average, to below average, 5K. They had bananas, yogurt, rolls, and ice cream - that was it. For $100 and being a full marathon, I think they should provide better post race food.
