Swim
Comments: I am really getting to the point where I hate warm pool swims. they drain every ounce of breath right out of me. What would you do differently?: I really need to get a good training swim plan together. I have come to realize i will not get any faster but now I just swim just enough. Need to get that distance fire back. Transition 1
Comments: not a bad transition. Not sure what is good I was 3rd in my age group and overall. What would you do differently?: nothing I think I did well. Bike
Comments: Good course. I wonder how well I could do if I was riding with no wind? I didnt think I did as well as I thought I did. I was really planning on a 20mph ride. So I was pleasently surprised. kept my cadence at 78-82rpm which is really seems to work well for me. I have started that this year and I have had great results. What would you do differently?: Not do a race with all the elements thrown at me at once. LOL no really I thought I did the ride just right. I knew I could not keep up with Chris and just stayed on my race plan hoping for a 20mph ride and keeping my cadence in my one area. Transition 2
Comments: now here is where it got tricky. My timing chip belt was worn and the velcro got stuck on my shoes. so when I pulled out of my shoe the chip came off. I had to run with my bike and hold my chip low enough to count. then put my chip back on with bike legs. This did give me time to put on my shoe but didnt give me time to take my garmin off my bike till I was ready to leave transitions. What would you do differently?: use my own timing chip belt when I have a worn. I need to remember to take my garmin off earlier ass well. overall and despit it all I did well. Run
Comments: With my bike legs almost gone I hit the trail run portion of the run(first half) it was very hard to get a good push with my legs istead of running with my legs. I really need to get my breathing right so I can drin some fluids. What would you do differently?: Need to get more relaxed with my run pace still feel like I pushing to hard an am not able to breath and drink. Post race
Warm down: cheered on my T3am when they finished and made sure I gave them water when they finished. What limited your ability to perform faster: weather Event comments: Great Race and despite the weather it was alot of fun. I had fun on the bike course chiding and trash talking. I really thought somone was gonna hit me but they loved the interaction. I really want to go back again next year. I will have to see if I can fit in in my tri goals next year. hung out with T3am T3 members. Helped walk Chuck Yunker thru the 1st transition. And of course I made it in time to See Becca the Secret Weapon Race.
Streached and walked thru Transitions. Drank some water and had a good breakfast. I only consumed 20 oz of heed this time instead of 60oz. Stomache felt better and i could eat some.
