  • Comments: My progression is coming along pretty good from where I had been. Would like to see what I can do if I can get my weight down (still hovering around 235lbs.). Weather was actually good for this race, usually we have rain, wind, or both. Last year for the race unless someone else puts it on next year, hate to see another hometown race disappear.

  • Comments: I appreciate Bob stepping up and taking over this race when the original promoter decided to stop holding races. However, no course maps posted, no real overview at the pre-race meeting, needed several more volunteers, and needed the volunteers they did have to be informed of the course. Awards were late and unorganized as well. I'm 100% confident that the RD will learn a lot from this and the future races will be better.

  • Comments: Horribly organized. Not enough communication before the race. Volunteers not prepared during the race (sending more than 1/4 of the bikers in the wrong directions), poor directions and markings on both the bike and run, run course almost a 1/4 mile short and the awards ceremony taking too long.

  • Comments: A good first timer race for beginners, or a great way to warm yourself up for the season. Did this race so I could get an early qualification to the AG nationals hopefully. Overall they did an excellent job keeping the event on time and awards were good as well. I won a 50 dollar gift card to a bike shop, so I guess I can technically say I have won some money from triathlon now! I gave them a four only because the run course is short by quite a bit. Otherwise great race and atmosphere afterwards as well.

  • Comments: Race was started early to beat the impending storms. Post race activity might have been better if the storms wouldn't have arrived. Overall a well organized event with course very well marked either with barricades, tape, and volunteers signaling the way. Will do this one again.

  • Comments: They had several confusing and 1 unmarked turn on a trail run in a park. The race director said the un-marked turn was marked at race start... They really needed a volunteer or two out in that park.

  • Comments: Sullivan always puts on a great race. Very organized, great volunteers at every corner of the bike, well marked trail on the run, lots of awards, nice grub. Now if they could just control the weather......

  • Comments: This is a very popular race, with good reason. The race director does a great job communicating with everyone via email and the website. Volunteers are knowledgable and helpful and the nasty weather is just part of the allure.

  • Comments: Great Race and despite the weather it was alot of fun. I had fun on the bike course chiding and trash talking. I really thought somone was gonna hit me but they loved the interaction. I really want to go back again next year. I will have to see if I can fit in in my tri goals next year.

  • Comments: Despite the weather, it was a great race. I got to meet a lot of great people, and even some fellow BT'ers! Ten minutes after I finished, I called my momma to tell her that I was ready to sign up for another triathlon!

  • Comments: Good race! For some reason the weather is always a factor!! It is always a windy race. The trail portion of the run was well marked but would have loved mile markers!! The rain was just awful!! It got so bad I could barely see on the bike. Will do this race again next year. One of these years there will be no wind or rain!!

  • Comments: Fourth year doing it. Still a very well run race, even if it was raining and windy outside. It will always be my kick off to my triathlon season.
