Bike
Comments: Very windy, but comfortable ride despite being wet. Almost 4 minute improvement from last year's bike, yay for clip on pedals What would you do differently?: Practice the transition, esp. getting into shoes (rode with feet on top of shoes for a bit, struggled a touch with getting them on). More weights. More biking. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Cramped again in right calf out of transition, just like last year. Took a while to get my legs going. Had to walk several times. What would you do differently?: Maybe spin on the bike a little more at the end, drink more on the bike to help avoid the cramping. Run more in training. Knee was hurting for 2 weeks prior to race so that cut into training a lot. Post race
Warm down: A little walking and stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Tired at the end Event comments: I love this race. A lot of friendly participants and volunteers. Great barbecue lunch afterwards. The awards ceremony is always a little difficult to hear, the PA system isn't very good. Individual sport ranks are based on women participants only.
