Comments: Drank water or gatorade at most of the water stations (every 2 miles). Took 1 Gu at around 50 mins into run. Started cramping in calves and hands just at mile 13, had to slow down a little to work those out. Ran 7mins: walk 1 min, stayed pretty close to that ratio, sometimes extended the run on a downhill. What would you do differently?: Maybe take the Gu a little later to prevent the cramping, or drink more gatorade through the course. Post race
Warm down: Slow jog/run for about 5 mins, ate 2 bananas and a half bagel and some powerade What limited your ability to perform faster: Just the cramping at the end Event comments: Really great volunteers, very well organized, cheering section at the end was a little sparse, but it is a smaller race than Thunder Road.
