Swim
Comments: Not too bad, but i've decided I don't like my full wetsuit. It's either too tight or i'm not wearing it properly. It really burns my shoulders out bad. So bad that my swimming becomes extremely sloppy. The swim went as planned other than that. A good swim for me is not drowning and making it out of the water having completed the course. What would you do differently?: Not wear the wetsuit. Transition 1
Comments: This was horrible. My wetsuit was the issue here. I just could not get the damn thing off. If you saw a guy near the transition exit on the right side rolling around on the ground like a drunk person that was me trying to get my westuit off. It was really that bad. Obviously that cost me a lot of time in T1. What would you do differently?: Not wear the wetsuit. Bike
Comments: Ok, this was my first ride (not race), first ever ride on my new bike. I must say that i'm thouroughly impressed and satisfied. I have never had an avg bike pace over 19 mph, so this was awesome for me. I had more juice left in me too, but I kept telling myself to just take it easy and not push too hard. I knew that my first race and ride on the bike was not the time to see what "she" could do, but i'll take it! Verry happy with the bike. What would you do differently?: Nodda. Transition 2
Comments: Not too impressed with this T time either. I could have done better. What would you do differently?: Hustle! Run
Comments: I told myself I was using this as a training day and I had no real goals for the run, other than keeping cool and my heart rate in check. I think I managed to do this. I'm pretty sure I did the 2nd lap faster than the 1st. Post race
Warm down: Helped tear down transition and then hustled home so Emma could get to cheer practice. Event comments: This was my favorite tri yet. Not because of my bike time, but I really liked the venue and course! Last updated: 2010-01-12 12:00 AM

Woke up at 3:30am and helped Amanda get the kids ready (what troopers they were), loaded up all of my gear, and we left for Cesar's Creek. Stopped at Tim Hortons on the way to get some pre race fuel (blueberry bagel).
I did a little bit of swimming.
