Swim
Comments: OMG, this swim felt great, but when I got to T1 I looked at my watch and I was surprised I was over 30 MINUTES! I figured something went wrong but the bike racks were empty as usual so I didn't worry too much. Besides, if the course is too long, is too long for us all. What would you do differently?: Not race this lousy race. Transition 1
Comments: The transition area was huge and I got to be at the very beginning of it which made for longer than usual T1 and T2. The reason: I didn't have a lot of time from the water to my bike to remove the upper part of my wetsuit and then I had to run in my bike shoes for a long stretch before I could mount. I don't really care about this since everybody got the same. What would you do differently?: Nothing, it was a good T1. Bike
Comments: Fast bike split but a really scary one, plagued with folks doing their first tri's, sprinters and whoever was too slow to have finished in all the other age groups. This made for very stressful cornering, passing and yelling at poor people that is trying to have fun "ON YOU LEFT". It was bad for me and them, I estimate my pace could have been a little faster with a less crowded course. This again reflects poor planning from the race organizers. Why would you mix the fastest AG with the slowest people? What would you do differently?: Again, not doing this race again, ever... Transition 2
Comments: An uneventful T2, long but good. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: The worse run in my entire history of triathlons, a total meltdown. Post race
Warm down: Left the site almost immediately after picking up my bike. What limited your ability to perform faster: Too long to list. Event comments: Never doing this crappy race again. Last updated: 2010-01-16 12:00 AM

Drove up to the site with half a bagel and a coffee in my stomach, relaxed and rested.
Nothing at all.
