Swim
Comments: I only practiced swimming once before just to make sure I could swim the distance. Got hit in the face half way through. I was very bad at breathing and ended up having my head above the water for almost the whole swim. What would you do differently?: Train more for the swim. Transition 1
Comments: Coming out of the pool while taking of my goggles, one side popped and hit me in the left eye. I lost my contact and was worried about it, but then realized I could see fine, just with less depth perception. I was on my dad's road bike which is very small for my size so jumping on was not probable. I didn't take into consideration the problems of putting socks on with wet feet. What would you do differently?: -Be more careful taking off goggles. -Practice putting on socks with wet feet. Bike
Comments: I started out slow just to get used to the bike. It was just a road bike so corning was easy, didn't have to worry about getting out of aero or anything. Overall it was a good ride. What would you do differently?: -Ride my own bike. Transition 2
Comments: I just need more practice with transitions in general. What would you do differently?: -Tie my shoes faster. -Practice racking my bike Run
Comments: Running with one contact was harder than the bike. The grass sections were a little muddy. The muddy sections were tricky sometimes with my limited sight, but everything worked out well. What would you do differently?: -Not lose my contact. Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of sight and training. Event comments: This was my first race and I had a blast. There was pizza at the finish, what more can I ask for on a sprint tri? Last updated: 2010-01-20 12:00 AM

Didn't really know what to do. This was my first triathlon. My brother and dad signed me up without telling me. Had a bagel for breakfast.
