Pre-race routine:

Arrived early and set up transition. Got a great parking place. Ate a bowl of oat meal before leaving house. Had plenty of gatorade on the way to event. Was well hydraded before race

Jogged a bit but was late for swim (had to walk a mile to swim) did not get a good swim warmup

Sight better and push harder.

Drank some gatorade . The run up to transition was in soft sand so I was a bit tired.

Not much.... mabe jog a bit into transition

Saw a huge racoon on the course. The wind on the front side of Jeykl was very strong in the face.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe drink more. Eat something small on bike.

Drank gatorade during transition.... put water belt on that was stored in a small cooler with ice... water was cold (was great and felt great around waist).

was very hot and sluggish due to the heat. Did better than the last triathlon in the heat. Started fast but slowed more than I wanted. Walked a bit... need to work on that. 1 mile out got second wind and felt great and pushed it thru.

not walk and keep it going

heat was up high and I do not yet do well in the heat

Took 2nd in AG due to 1st place guy took 1st in masters.

There was a stiff current into our face at the swim. Made it like a 1 1/2 mile swim. All times were slow. Lots of waves and by the time we reached the sprint starters there were tons of folks to avoid. (some were panicing) Had a hard time swimming straight and swimming thru so many folks.
