Swim
Comments: Well it sucked. It was my fastest pool swim ever but not by much and I've been working so hard w/ lessons on my swimming. It is very frustrating but I just need to keep working at it. I was passed by 3 people and lost a few seconds letting them go by but I was alone after that. The What would you do differently?: I have to keep practicing. Transition 1
Comments: It was so muddy in the transition area that my feet were slipping on the pedals when I got on. Also took time to put socks on which I normally would not do in a sprint. Plus debated about what else to wear since it was pretty chilly. What would you do differently?: The weather and conditions added to my extra time. Bike
Comments: Really good bike. It took me about 5-6m to get warm and into a rhythm but I tried to push it w/o killing myself. The sharp turn and "big hill" had to make me laugh. After I survived Devil's hill twice in NH, this was pretty small. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: I took my socks back off for the run and walked just a little bit to try and get control of my breathing. That didn't happen. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Awesome run - 5k PR even over my standalone time and about 2 min. faster than my tri 5K best. I wasn't sure I was doing so well but I felt pretty strong even though my breathing and HR were off the charts. I did my fast shuffle until my legs loosened up around the 1.5m mark then I tried to push it coming home. What would you do differently?: Keep working on speed and bricks. Post race
Warm down: Stopped after crossing the finish to catch my breath. Then ate some barbeque. :-) What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing - this was one of my best races. Eric's coaching has been great and it is slowly getting better and I'm getting stronger/faster. So the plan is took keep working hard and inching along. Event comments: Well run race and great community/volunteer support. It was a nice way to start the season. Might be nice if the bike was a little longer. Last updated: 2010-02-02 12:00 AM

Tony and I spent the night at his mom's then drove 3 hrs. to the race. Ate some breakfast before leaving the house and snacked throughout the morning. It was tough to plan AM food since the race started to late and I went in to the pool an hour later.
Tony and I jogged for about 15 min. before the race started. It at least got the blood flowing.
