Swim
Comments: A little disappointed by my start. Think it was adrenaline because I know that I am a stronger swimmer than my first 1/4 performance. Once I got into a grove I was fine. Fumes from boats were bad - hadn't trained for that. Also got into some chop further out from shore that make me a little queasy. What would you do differently?: Relax! Transition 1
Comments: Longest T1 ever. I swear we had to run up a grassy hill and then another 1/4 mile before we got to our bikes. Lost aeropad somewhere in transition but turned out fine on the bike. Bike
Comments: I really liked this course a lot. I love the rolling hills. Did not like the smelly mink farm. Transition 2
Run
Comments: I have to improve. I had a really hard time with the course, but I was expecting to. Followed a woman out of T2 and kept her in sight the entire time even though I was run/walking and she ran the entire time. Mananged to fly past her at the end. Need new shoes. Feet hurt after a mile, was worried I was getting a huge blister on bottom of left foot. Also had some chin pain. Overall I wasn't happy with the run but my time wasn't too bad. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training in run. Event comments: Was a nicely run race. Wish T1 could have been set up a little better and the exhaust of the boats wasn't so strong. Also started a little late. Last updated: 2010-02-03 12:00 AM

Got up at 5 and out of the house by 5:15. Had a diet coke and a banana muffin (wanted to get a bagel but forgot that stores don't open this early in Kiel). Got to transition a little after 5:30.
Did some stretching and yoga since I wanted to do it the day before but didn't happen.
