Transition 1
Comments: had to pee & wanted to stop @ porta potties but they were locked off due to placement on the course; ate luna bar & forgot to eat antacids What would you do differently?: NOT wait for the guy in the transition slot next to get out of my way before sitting down after i got my wetsuit off. I wasn't focused on the task @ hand. pee in the wetsuit. Bike
Comments: good fuel mgmt; 3 shot blocks on the way out of town; 1 huckleberry hammer gel on the way back on Foundry road - maybe have a second one so 1 can come before fur farm hill & second as i get on sprint course What would you do differently?: the white/black New Balance running shirt was WAY too loose to be worn on the bike when wet; my underarms were SEVERELY chaffed when i started the run; i pushed hard enough to feel the burn without cooking my legs early Transition 2
Comments: i had to pee so bad i tried to hand my bike to Dan Windmiller while i used the porta-potties (they were still locked so i had to continue); had a hard time getting my shoes tied tightly enough across the toes to prevent blisters; took antacids & frozen water bottle (good idea but tough to carry) & race belt; wore visor but weather cloudy & cool so threw it to Sarah @ RUN OUT exit What would you do differently?: push a little harder Run
Comments: run felt good except shirt sucked due to chaffing so i took it off b4 4-way stop & blisters on left arch (front) @ mile 4; left laces came untied at mile 3 so i stopped to retie; stopped for 2+ minutes to pee @ porta-pottie at A&J; found enough people to push me on the run Josh Oppeneer came out to run last mile with me - AWESOME! I THINK i would have made it without him but it would have been tough. What would you do differently?: pee on the swim or bike so i can concentrate on the run - abd cramped i had to pee so bad; MUCH better post pee Post race
Warm down: celebrated with Sarah & the group; hearing everyone cheer me on helped so much What limited your ability to perform faster: better fuel management; pee either on the bike or in transition before i cramp & have to stop for WAY too long Event comments: Another great event, Jeff! We'll see you again next year! Last updated: 2010-02-24 12:00 AM

ate 2 pieces of peanut butter toast with a glass of OJ; ate a banana after transition set-up; transition closed @ 700, my wave started 90 minutes later so my fuel was gone.
