Comments:

1st race with a wetsuit. Didn't catch the count down to start, urgh! When my time chip came out from under the suit I thought it was falling off and reached down twice to make sure it was still there... so I lost some time there as well as going wide on the turn to finish.
It was pretty choppy and I choked on a few waves as well as some kick spray.
Transition 1
  • 01m 31s
Comments:

Was the 6th women out of transition, all down hill from there.
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice getting my suit off more and still need to work on shoes on the bike mount.

Comments:

I just need more time on the bike, but not many women passed me on the bike. Was a bit cold. Im not sure if it was the cold water, but I got numb toes towards the end of the bike and it took the first mile of the run to get the feeling back in my left big toe, but my shoes didn't feel tight.
What would you do differently?:

I want to try areobars. I wonder if they would help with my low back pain?
Transition 2
  • 01m 8s
What would you do differently?:

again, need to work on the shoes on bike thing.
Run
  • 27m 29s
  • 3.11 miles

Comments:

1st time I haven't brought my water bottle with me. It worked out fine since it wasn't hot, but had a hard time drinking from the foam cups they had, not sure if I will do that again. Big toe was asleep for the first mile, overall I just need to run faster. My standalone time is getting a lot better, but this one hasn't yet. Guess I gotta do more bricks.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking around trying to find the family :0)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing really just my training.

Event comments:

Glad they finally have women shirts!!
