Comments:

I started out in the front and was quickly overtaken. I stayed strong, though and never panicked. Was not able to swim smoothly before the first bouy due to the breakers. Did a little side stroke just to make sure I stayed calm. Once past the first buoy I started to relax, put my head in the water and dug in.
What would you do differently?:

Try to swim stronger sooner

Stayed in the big chain ring the whole way except for the hill.
What would you do differently?:

Start out the first leg stronger. I didn't feel srong until the 2nd leg and that was with the head wind. I should have gone stronger with the wind at my back.

This run was hot. I could tell I was going slowly, but just couldn't get my legs to go faster. by the turn-around, my left knee/IT band was killing me. I think it was b/c I was wearing old shoes. I did not feel any bounce in my step.
What would you do differently?:

have newer shoes
