Swim
Comments: I almost fell over when I saw my swim time! I felt good in the water until the last 100 or so, but I didn't think I was going that well. After only swam 300 yards the previous day I know that faster times are still there. I had a great day sighting, and I loved the time trial start. Easy to pass, but not the fighting at the start. What would you do differently?: A little more practice time before hand would have been nice come the last 100. Transition 1
Comments: The last 100 of the swim was rough and I spent a little more time that I would have liked walking up the hill to catch my breath. On the plus side I didn't have any trouble with the zipper and the timing mats were on the beach instead of up near T1. What would you do differently?: Less walking up the long hill to transition Bike
Comments: I should have left the glasses in transition. I had trouble seeing through the fog and rain on the glasses. I don't remember then ever doing that before. Took the turns slow since I didn't feel like sliding on the wet pavement. What would you do differently?: Leave the glasses and see better. Transition 2
Comments: I knew my feet were getting wet on the ride. I had a hard time getting my wet feet in my dry socks for the run. I also found out why I had trouble getting my left shoe clipped in. I had grabbed a chunk of turf running through T1. What would you do differently?: Small washcloth to dry my feet when it is raining would be nice. Run
Comments: Dropped 2 minutes from May!! Fastest 5k to date for a Sprint Tri!! Still walked more than I liked it felt like I also limited that. The only problem I had was with less than a half mile to go I started to get a blister where I have been getting them on my right 2nd toe. I think it was from my wet feet and socks. Overall a great run. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: TRAINING TIME!! Event comments: Everything started on time. No problems with directions and plenty of volunteers at the corners. More than enough aid stations for the 5k run at the end. Had one at mile 1, mile 1.5, mile 2. Great race and venue!! Can't wait until the Endurathon in July and then race 3 in August!!
