Run
Comments: This was an awesome experience. My GPS had me going 26.68 miles, which I believe due to the big crowds, wide avenues, and inability to run the tangents. What would you do differently?: Not much I could do differently other than paying more attention to running tangents. Faded badly in the second half, because I just got eaten up by the hills. Was cold and stiff for most of the first six miles. Probably should have tried harder to stay warm and loose prior to the start. Post race
Warm down: Lots of people complained about the long walk to get your baggage, but I didn't think it was that bad and it was probably good for recovery in the long run. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold at start. Stiff legs due to cold and standing around for so long. Crowds. This was a tougher course than I'd expected, frankly. Event comments: A great race that is probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience for someone from Hawaii. If you didn't get goosebumps at certain spots along the course with all those people cheering, there must be something wrong with you. Last updated: 2010-04-09 12:00 AM

Ferry to bus, where I had to stand for 45 minutes to get to Fort Wadsworth. Eat. Sit around in the cold.
None. It would be next to impossible to warm-up other than just standing around in the cold.
