Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4am ate two flaxseed waffles one with syrup and with peanut butter on it. About 15 minutes before the swim I ate a packet of energy blocks. Made sure to use the bathroom 15 minutes before and stopped drinking water about an hour out.

Swam probably 100 yards of the swim course.

Good swim for me I came out better rank wise than I thought. Still need lots of work on the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing just need to spend more time in the pool so I can swim faster.

Need to make this transition faster it was a long transition area but I need to practice more. Left the shoes clipped into the bike but didn't do a flying mount. I figuere the extra time saved isn't worth the chance of wiping out.
What would you do differently?:

When I come out of the water put a more effort into making a quick transition. After I get done with the swim I just want to walk through transition and catch my breath but I can't afford to do that.

Not as fast as I had hoped but I think that it was a good solid ride considering how hot it was. It was a huge improvement over last year and I feel like I am making solid progress. Need to work on the turns and technical descents more I feel like I could easly gain some time by being a better bike handler.
What would you do differently?:

Go harder at the end. I think I held back a little at the end because I wanted to have a good run. I should go hard all the way to the end.

Legs felt good coming off the bike but I just couldn't get my breathing under control. Course was very hilly but overall even though the time isn't very good. Rank wise it was my best event and I think the time reflects the conditions. It was a hot and hilly run.
What would you do differently?:

HTFU.....I just need to push harder at the beggining and hold on for dear life.

Warm down:

.....nothing much. Drank lots of water and stretched when I got home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Could have been the temperature it was a very hot day with little cloud cover.

Event comments:

Team magic always puts on a good race. Even won something when they were donig the give aways. Just wish there was some music or something and more places to sit and get out of the sun.
