Swim
Comments: It was a horrible swim for me. My back really hurt when I breathed on the left, so I switched to right-side breathing. Felt like I was hyper-ventilating because I am usually a both-side breather. Settled down about 1/2 way and just swam. :-( What would you do differently?: Calm down and not put so much pressure on myself in the pool. Transition 1
Comments: I need to speed up my bike mounting. Still unsure of myself when doing the whole "jump on bike" thing! Bike

Comments: Running is my bad spot. I must work on that! I would have been a tad faster without back problems. What would you do differently?: Need to lose 10 more lbs. and work on speed/endurance. I have to master this running thing! Post race
Warm down: Iced back, stretched, and visited with great friends and my kiddos. What limited your ability to perform faster: My back injury and nerves. Event comments: This is an awesome race! Ate pancake and turkey bacon early. Watched kid's tri. Back home to finish getting ready, ate a Cliff bar. Set up transition area and got a pre-race massage.
Swam approx. 150 yd. to warm up and get used to set-up. Stretched out my back (recovering from back problems).
