Swim
Comments: It was a bit weedy out there. I also have no clue why everybody decided to swim farther away from the buoys. It was a bit weird being the closest to the buoys, unmolested. The sun was TERRIBLE on the way in... I couldn't see anything, so I just went with it. I am truly surprised with how poorly my swim went. I thought I had done much better time-wise, as I have been swimming significantly faster in the pool. Oh well, I just know what I need to practice more What would you do differently?: New googles Transition 1
Comments: Need to buy triathlon shoes, I didn't risk falling over, took the safe way out What would you do differently?: Buy triathlon shoes and use the jumping/flying start Bike
Comments: I gunned it on this one. I just wanted to see how I could do while pushing it harder than usual. Ended up going well, especially considering I wasn't fresh What would you do differently?: More TiTS Transition 2
Comments: Went okay, but again, having triathlon shoes would have enabled me to better get my feet out of my shoes quicker What would you do differently?: Buy triathlon shoes Run
Comments: I was surprised by my speed on this. I thought the hills would have killed my time, but they didn't. I just went by how I was feeling for this one, no HRM or anything. I think that this course was actually a bit short. What would you do differently?: Be tapered? Not much, running is definitely my strong suit. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not being tapered, interval training the day before. Event comments: Well run race, the best sprint course that I've raced on by FAR Last updated: 2010-05-11 12:00 AM

Rode to transition, ran a bit, swam in the lake,
