Swim
Comments: Very easy swim course What would you do differently?: I really need to refocus on stroke work. I am comfortable enough in the open water now, to where sighting works and I was able to focus on getting the most out of each stroke. Transition 1
Comments: There were no split times for T1 or T2. The bike reflects T1+ bike + T2. According to my watch 1:48 in T1. Again trouble getting the wetsuit off the ankles. Bike
Comments: According to my watch I was right at 40 min when I dismounted, which put the average speed at 22.5 mph. I am starting to get the hang on the bike shoes. The pedaling felt nice and even on the straights, with an equal amount of power coming from the downward and the upward motion. Transition 2
Comments: T2 is part of the bike split. Again trouble getting into my running shoes. I easily lost 30 seconds or more. Run
Comments: Very good run, esp. given my size (225lbs at 6'4'') and the heat. No problem running of the bike. I think swimming is starting to be my weakest discipline. Post race
Warm down: Walk around. Waited at the finish line with our kids to see my wife and a buddy of mine finish. Event comments: Very nice, smaller race ( ~120 racers) in a beautiful setting Last updated: 2010-05-17 12:00 AM
