  • Comments: This is the first of several local races. Very competetive group. The difference between me and 3rd place AG is almost 5 minutes. This time would put me 8/16 in the 45-49 group. Younger crowd not so competetive, but the 40 yos and up will kick your butt. Something to shoot for :)

  • Comments: This is a great local race. The swim is in man made water ski lake, the bike is on lightly travelled roads and is mostly flat and the run in on a private golf course....just a great race venue. It is well organized and run by Carl and Julia Bonner (both stud triathletes) and has tremendous support from the community.

  • Comments: I enjoy this race. This was one of the three I was focused on this year, along with the two Halfs. I was extremely disappointed with my results. Later in the day, watching the US Open, it occured to me that this may be like golf. You can play the same course every weekend and some weekends shoot well and then every so often, nothing works and you have a horrible day. that was one of those days for me in the race. the bad thing was this was a race i really wanted to perform well in. Oh well. Back to training
