Pre-race routine:

Woke up around 5am. Got dressed. Had a choc chip peanut crunch Clif bar and lots of watered down Gatorade Endurance. Put everything in car around 5:30 and made my way to race site. Unpacked car. Setup transition. Stretched a little. Took care of some business. Put wetsuit on and headed for start.
Event warmup:

Waited as long as I could to get in to water. Got wet, swam a few strokes and got in line with my wave to start.

Comments:

Had an awesome ride. The new race bike and setup felt great. HR was a little high but I was comfortable and the hills were steep. Road could use a little work but traffic was low so you could stay out of the rough patches.
Last 10 miles hip started to get sore but once off bike it was ok.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing

Comments:

Had one of my best runs. No pain at all. Legs only started to get tired in last 2 miles. A couple good hills wit some good flat sections to help keep pace up.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Greet family and friends! Eat a orange and yogurt. Change clothes. Eat real food. Get a massage. Warm Shower. Stretch and RELAX!!!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weather. Not wanting to get hurt.

Event comments:

Great race. Great race director. Would do again. Great race weekend activities but post-half IM activities left a little to be desired.
