![]() Swim
Comments: I don't know what it is with this swim. I cannot get my times below about 17:30. Swim felt really good. Kept a good rotation with the arms. Was by myself for the bulk of the swim, between the leading bunch and the trailing bunch, so I didn't have anyone to swim over, etc. What would you do differently?: go faster? really don't know. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: the T1, Bike and T2 times are all lumped together in the official results, so these are based upon the splits on my watch and the bike computer. Overall a good T1. Sat down to take of shoes and put on shoes so my usual dizziness issues wouldn't cause a catastrophe What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Bike
Comments: overall a good ride for me. did have slight cramp with about 5 miles to go, but worked through it. Tried to push the whole time. Legs complained the whole time so I guess I accomplished that. What would you do differently?: improve bike fitness ![]() Transition 2
Comments: all good What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Run
Comments: not a good run. either that or the course is long, but I don't think it is judging by the fastest run which was 19:30. Still in other sprints I can keep the pace below 7 per minute. Not this one. Maybe it's the grass :) What would you do differently?: run faster ![]() Post race
Warm down: walked the course backward to cheer in friends. stretched and rolled the legs What limited your ability to perform faster: swimming ability, bike fitness and run fitness Event comments: This is the first of several local races. Very competetive group. The difference between me and 3rd place AG is almost 5 minutes. This time would put me 8/16 in the 45-49 group. Younger crowd not so competetive, but the 40 yos and up will kick your butt. Something to shoot for :) Last updated: 2010-05-19 12:00 AM
