Swim
Comments: Couldn't a single bouy. Darker lenses needed. Finally put head down and swam toward sun...Felt like I was going "comfortably hard". Wet suit helps a TON!!! What would you do differently?: Darker goggles needed. Transition 1
Comments: Had suit down to hips. Got out quickly I felt except suit caught on HUGE timing chip. SLOWEST T1 out of top 4 !!! What would you do differently?: It wasn't bad considering wet suit snaffu. Bike
Comments: Tried to relax and save it for the run....HR was way high the whole time for some reason????? Guess I went harder than what I thought on the swim...didn't seem like it ??? What would you do differently?: I think this was a very smart race. Comfortable swim, bike....and try to hold it together on the run...Could have pushed it a bit more but didn't want to hurt my run any worse.... Transition 2
Comments: BEST T2 out of top 10. One person was faster out of the whole race (by 1 second). I quickly jumped the grande canyon with my bike in the air and was off and running to my T-spot. quickly racked and running shoes on...HELMET WAS OFF...and running belt around waist. What would you do differently?: Don't pick a spot where there is a mound of "stick tite" plant/weeds !!!! OUCH !!!!! Run
Comments: Possible diaphram cramp AGAIN...not sure (second race in a row). Tough breathing. Stomach felt full...could be due to lack of warm up of due to gatorade on bike...might have to stick with water...????? What would you do differently?: Not cramp....don't run first mile in 6:38 and expect to keep it there when I struggle to keep it at 7:00 miles!!! Post race
Warm down: Nice walk in the park and conversation with Tom Pickart.(great run Tom) What limited your ability to perform faster: The run Event comments: SUPER FLAT RACE. To bad the wind was strong. Affected all three areas. Interesting finishing area...down the gravel hill into a metal gate with tight corner onto a gravel road. Unfortunate bike dismount area with ditch jumping. Couldn't see a lick due to sun and bouy placement.... Volunteers were asked the morning of to help with run stations. Somehow he needs to entice more helpers. Last updated: 2010-05-21 12:00 AM

Week before was short and fast workouts. Two eggs and toast for breakfast with glass of juice. One GU app 30-40 min before start
Biked around the lake (easily) to see course. Ran to the start line since it was at 7:40 instead of 8:30 like planned...ran back to transition to get my swim cap because I forgot it (after I already had my wet suit on) GOOD ONE !!!
