Comments: Out and back, pretty strong headwind going out. Traffic was moderate but the cars seemed patient for the most part. Didn't get passed and passed 3 or 4 riders. What would you do differently?: Just keep training Transition 2

Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Even factoring the additional 200 yards of the last swimIn the end I managed to improve total time as well as on both my run and bike from last year. Finished 1:18:45 last year, Shaved almost 2 minutes off my run and almost 5 minutes off my bike. Event comments: I think I might pass on this one next year. Event never seems to run on time (even after the delay the 30 second starts got out of whack) Don't like the snake swim and the road is pretty rough for about half the course which is hard to weave around with traffic. Also the race is now internet registration only which added $5 to the $45 fee. (I think to register 2 solo and one team I paid over $20 in fees) Evidently many others felt the same because this yaer had 93 entrants down from 210 last year. (Just the long course last year had around 140) Last updated: 2010-05-22 12:00 AM

Had a hard time getting to the venue. Many flooded roads. Saw the night before that the quickest route was closed, got on the road and found out my alternate was blocked. 20 Mile detour and back on track. Got to the site with 10 minutes to spare before the pre race meeting only to find out they delayed the start by an hour. Had lots of time to waste than.
