Overall Rank = 369/395
Age Group = Athena
Age Group Rank = 11/17
Pre-race routine:

Bagel with Cream cheese while driving to Siesta Key. Had a Fuze energy drink 30 minutes before race.
Event warmup:

Walking on the soft sand to swim start did a good job warming me up then some stretching.
Swim
  • 18m 31s
  • 600 meters
  • 03m 05s / 100 meters
Comments:

First salt-water swim. It went well for the first one. Next time I'll stay more to the right so I don't get people trying to swim over me or get kicked in the ribs (again). I really pumped it out on the last 50 meters but didn't run enough to T1, otherwise I think my time would have been better.
What would you do differently?:

Stay on the outside of the pack and run more to the transition area. And not drink so much sea water.
Transition 1
  • 02m 35s
Comments:

I'm getting better at my transitions. I took some time to rinse my face and feet with water. I really needed to get the salt water off my face and the sand off my feet.
What would you do differently?:

Go a little faster but I'm only competing against myself and this was the first Tri that transitions were timed.
Bike
  • 48m 6s
  • 13 miles
  • 16.22 mile/hr
Comments:

I had a good ride. I passed some and was passed by others. The more I ride the more I'll build my strength to go faster for longer.
What would you do differently?:

Go a little faster
Transition 2
  • 02m 23s
Comments:

Everything went well, even took a few seconds to drink more gatorade before leaving T2.
Run
  • 47m 32s
  • 3 miles
  • 15m 50s  min/mile
Comments:

It was a tough run on the beach and decided I was walking faster than I was "running". I went just past the exit to the finish line so I had to back track a few extra yards.
What would you do differently?:

Practice running on the beach if I want to get better.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking around, cooling off in the shade, stretching, eating lunch, drinking gatorade, water, etc.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

New experiences - Salt-water Swim and Beach Run.

Event comments:

It was a great event and I will do another with Multirace and Publix.
