Run
What would you do differently?: Train harder! Post race
Warm down: Walked around a little, stretched, eat some food...post race food sucked. :( What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. Event comments: Absolutely loved it, but I might be a little bias with the fact that I'm not a serious racer and I'm an Army veteran. Just being in D.C. surrounded by national pride did it for me. I do wish they had had better post racing food and drink (recovery drink would have been nice!) but other than that, they were organized and awesome. The finisher coins were a little on the cheap side when you compare it to the Air Force Half Marathon medals, but coins are an Army thing and I love mine. Last updated: 2010-06-01 12:00 AM

Being in D.C. and driving up with my Army friend, we didn't have much of a pre-race routine. I just ate a couple pieces of toast, drank some water and off we went for an hour drive north to the Pentagon.
Walked from our car to the Pentagon. LOL Jogged a little bit from the porto-johns to the starting line. :)
