Comments: If I could train in my wetsuit I could do a lot better. What would you do differently?: find some place to train in my wetsuit Transition 1
Comments: Not to much I was more into just paceing myself because i was not going to place. Bike
Comments: I felt great on the bike I do not know if I drank enough or if I need to add salt or what. Once I leave the bike and start to run is when my stomach goes to hell. I don't know if I drank enough water?? I thought I did but maybe I did not. What would you do differently?: I have to figure out what is causing my stomach problems once I get off the bike. It's what I’m doing or not doing on the bike that's killing me on the run. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Granted I had normal muscle fatigue that everyone gets but my problem was my stomach. I have to figure out what is bothering my stomach. I cannot tell if it was the gels or gator aid and / or maybe I need to add salt. I had to walk most of mile nine and a few more times after words because I felt like blowing chunks. My legs were tight but I know I could have ran most of the way and only walked the water points. My stomach was in turmoil for an hour or so after the race. It bothers me because fiscally I know my legs can handle it but the stomach thing is going to make it very hard to continue this sport if I don’t find out what the issue is. What would you do differently?: Find out what I'm eating/drinking or need take on the bike to help stop this stomach problem. Post race
Warm down: Stretched in the lake, which was great in nice cold water to help cool down. What limited your ability to perform faster: Stomach issues on the run. Event comments: They could have had sun block out there on the course. Last updated: 2010-06-08 12:00 AM
