Swim
Comments: good swim, had a little trouble with people bumping into me. Either i don't swim straight or they don't. Next year i will start more in the front or farther left to have more breathing room because the spashes from others althered my breathing (no water swalowed) What would you do differently?: have more confidence in my swimming abilities Transition 1
What would you do differently?: sit down to put on socks and shoes Bike
Comments: Ran out of cytomax at mid course and of energy in the last 5K but my road bike is awesome! What would you do differently?: DRINK DRINK DRINK and try a Gu in training to see if my GI can take the boost! Transition 2
Comments: gotta learn the running barefoot stepping on the shoes thing What would you do differently?: practice transition with bike shoes on the bike Run
Comments: It was freekin hot!I had to walk 2/3 of the course. 3 élite women passed out while on the course and the medics got plenty of work with a lot of racers that day due to the heat. What would you do differently?: DRINK DRINK DRINK and train more, specially running when it is hot Post race
Warm down: Gatorade and walking around to thank all the jockstaps that came for me What limited your ability to perform faster: dehydration and lack of running training Event comments: I did better on this tri than my first and it was an OW swim. I need to get stronger on the bike and most of all on the run. A lot of work lies ahead but after what is now my second triathlon , i know that i can do it and be better. i am addicted!!! Message to the crazy canucks: i'm in for the winther challenges (big part of this summer's successes) Last updated: 2006-01-21 12:00 AM
